Cases Against the City

Lawsuits are frequently filed by citizens against the City.   Many of these cases involve claims brought against Police and Corrections Officers for alleged mistreatment, violation of constitutional rights, unlawful search and seizure, and so on.  Occasionally there will be a class-action case filed against the City by a group of citizens.

One such case is the pending Buck, et al., vs. City of Albuquerque, et al., case.  This is a federal court civil rights case brought by ACLU attorneys on behalf of people claiming violation of their civil rights and damages resulting from Police misconduct during an anti-war demonstration.

Cases filed by City employees are here.
